October Fest 10-9-10

IMG_3614Conrad went up to October Fest with Mom, Dad and Becca to help sell swords. He had lots of fun. Karina, Alexander and I took forever getting out of the house and did not get there until after 1 in the afternoon. We still had fun walking around. Karina saw some horses but after we walked all the way over to where they were she was too scared to get close to them or touch one. The owners were very nice and kept encouraging her and she finally did pet one on the shoulder.

After seeing the horses we walked over and watched the guys making kettle corn. It was so cool to see them stirring the ginormous puts that are bigger than a bathtub!~

We watched the black smith do his thing for a little bit but Karina thought it was too loud.

Then we found Our group selling swords. Becca was doing most of the sanding and nailing together. Dad likes to write people’s names on little paper animal cut outs for free. Mom was showing how to braid the braided rugs that she used to demonstrate during the LDS independence pageant. Conrad was helping to demonstrate the swords.

Mom paid for Myself and the kids to all ride the covered wagon on a little ride in the country side. It took about 10 minutes, I think and the kids loved it. I will try to get some of the pictures she took of us in the wagon.

Wow, what fun. It's so nice when other people are so patient with children and good for Karina to touch the horse. I think my kids would have liked the blacksmith and the buggy ride the best. Glad you had a great day.

I remember doing this with your parents! It seems like a million years ago.

That brings back some good memories. (Just so you know, you spell 'swords' with an 'o'. Smile :)
