A Visitor from Australia 7-6-11

Mom and Dad were so kind to host a visitor from out of town named Tom.  He was here for about a week to see the US for the first time and for the Joseph Smith Family Reunion.  He was a very nice guy.  He brought everyone little fun things, like little stuffed animals and pencils with kangaroos on them.

One day we went with Mom, Rachel, Becca and Tom down to sight see at the Plaza.  It was a lovely hot July day.  We did a great job of sticking together till Rachel decided that she needed to go into a kitchen store to look around.

While we waited for the girls to find us, we went into Cold Stone to cool down and have a treat.  It was so yummy!

One day Conrad also got to go to the Kansas City library to see the books a story tall on the side of the building and play a chess game with pieces the almost as tall as Conrad!  He said they were VERY heavy!

Tom got along well with everyone and was super friendly.  Michael and him had fun joking around while we waited for the fireworks on the 4th.  We are glad we got a chance to meet him!

How fun to have a visitor from so far away; and the library sounds so fun. Maybe Mark can play Conrad the next time we make it out there.
